Location
The photo was taken a Brands Hatch race circuit for the finals of the British Touring Car ChampionshipTime
The photo was taken at around 4pm in early October, the light was dropping that meant the shot was more difficultLighting
I was after the sharp car but blurred background look, the low light seemed to make the background more blurred than normalEquipment
The shot was taken using a canon 650d using a 17 - 40mm lens, No other equipment was usedInspiration
I was looking for the blurred background to portray the speed of the carEditing
the only post processing that was done was a little cropping, and slight adjustments to contrast, clarity and vibrance. In my camera bag
These days a canon 7d mark II a 17-40mm lens, a 100mm lens, a 70 - 300mm lens and a 150 - 600mm lensFeedback
I originally thought that to photograph a fast car you needed a shutter speed of above 1/1000. However that make the background in focus, so the best plan is to dropp the shutter speed before panning, this was taken at 1/500
