This was taken on the South Shore of Kauai, Hi in Poipu.
I was told Poipu means "Hole in the Sky" which is fitting for this photo because the majority of the time I was on the island it was consistently pouring. I would wake up every night at around 2am and walk out on the balcony to check the sky's conditions. There was only 1 day I woke up to a window of clarity with the Milky Way shining through. I ran down to the shore and managed to snap this before the "Hole in the Sky" closed up again.
