This is one of a series of 9 Chem-o-grams. Each where made by pulling discarded pieces of paper from the trash in my schools darkroom, and processing them using a modified development process. I did many of these, but only selected those I though had some for of compositional content, or meaning.
This one particularly made an impact for me. I guess these feel kind of like ink blot tests. What I see is a soldier, standing alone, a rifle slung over his shoulder. A scorching desert stands before him, with his mind set on the family farm back home

I can see a sailor with a blonde girl on a plank, the he begins to look like the producer of old horror films like The Birds (gone blank) I can see, in the faded bit a man lying asleep and something that could be a guitar in front of him - my, wish I'd had these images when I was teaching English - great work - do you use them in class?
