I took this picture in Germany. In the urbex world it is called the house of wheelchairs. they say it is an abandoned hospital, but it was used more to take care of the old people that where at the end of their life.Time
I took this picture around 14.00 in October and the sun was fully shining.Lighting
The sun came in this attic though 2 little windows and there was a lot of dust. So before I shot this one I moved the dust from the ground with my feet so you saw a nice sunbeamEquipment
I used an Nikon D7100 with a sigma 18-35 F1/1/8 on a 3 Legged Thing Brian Evo 2 with AirHed 1Inspiration
I love abandoned places. Especially this kind of places where is a lot of history to show. I want to tell stories with my pictures. We humans leave things behind when we don't care about it anymore! It is sad but I hope I can give a little message to the world that we are wasting the world and if we keep continuing like this we dig our own grave...Editing
Yes ofcourse. But nothing special. I always use photoshop but I mostly only use the camera-raw filter of photoshop to adjust de contrast and color etc so nothing fancy. I prefer to make a good composition and to take care of the light so I have to do some little adjustments to make the picture pop out a bit more.In my camera bag
Nowadays I use a nikon D750 with most of the times a tamron 15-30 F/2.8 or a tamron 24-70 F/2.8 or the tamron 70-200 F/2.8. I also still have my Nikon D7100 with my sigma 18-35 F/1.8 art and the tokina 11-16 F/2.8. I have 2 sb-910 flashes and the 3 Legged Thing Brian Evo 2 with AirHed 1 tripod. Also I use the Haida 150 filter set for my gray filtersFeedback
Always look around your surroundings. Think what you want to say with your picture. I always create a story if I see something what I want to shoot. And depending on what I want to express with that picture I decide what my composition will be and what my settings will be. Also come back another time or day if your lighting is not good for the story you want to tell with your picture. And try to use all the simple things around you (like the dust on the ground) to make i perfect! A good picture takes a lot of time and effort to make it how you want it!
