Location
I took this while on a 4 day 4 day trek in Wales last September. There was NO rain the whole week, not a single drop. I had seen this place called "fairy glen" on pintrest and just had to see if it existed.Time
This was actually in the middle of the day. I was so paranoid that it would be too bright and praying that there was enough cover to make the image look good. Thankfully there was, and it was unbelievably green. Ill be honest, sine it was late September I was hoping for more red.Lighting
This was all natural lighting and a bit of planned luck.Equipment
This was shot with my trusty Canon 50D, 24-105 mm lens @f/4 (I wish I had changed that but i was so excited that I forgot) for 25 seconds (with a 10 stop lee filter) on a Mefoto tripod. I was practically in the stream.Inspiration
As I mentioned above, I had seen this image on Pinterest and i fell in love with it - I knew I had to see if it really looked like that...and it does. Its just a small area, tucked away on a farm and it has the most amazing feel when you are there alone.Editing
This required VERY little post processing. I bumped the green the slightest bit to make it feel like i felt it was while i was there, but other than that I didn't do anything. I am not incredibly proficient at Photoshop so I have to try to get as much as possible right in camera. In my camera bag
During this trip I had my 50d, 70-200 2.8, 24-105 f/4, 10-22, and an 85 1.8 along with a variety of filters and my tripod. there are several small gadgets but i don't use them often yet.Feedback
Wales itself is AMAZING, make sure you go hiking to see even better areas, and if you can camp- go for it. I like filters that help me create that longer exposure with water and make everything seem calm and peaceful.
