Behind The Lens

Location

This is my friends daughter Ava. We decided to have a little photo shoot. It was taken on Lucas Valley Road in marin County, CA Totatlly unplanned with a few props ... i would tell her to keep a staright face on and she would... I loved the way she gave her hair a little trim before hte photo shoot...

Time

It was an afternoon shot, light was almost magical under the trees.

Lighting

it takes time and practice, I am a naturel light Photographer and you just know it when it is right.

Equipment

I have a Nikon D-800. hand hold.

I really wanted a filered light with pure look. Her facial expressions were

Editing

I have cleaned up the image a bit by clearing up the eyes, and the skin. The rest is pretty much is a SOOC image.

In my camera bag

I Don't usually carry a bag ... This photo shoot I was not sure what lens I was going to use, so i brought my 50.., 85 mm and 28-70 mm lenses

Feedback

Portrait session I recommend to look in to the eyes and get that sharp. Find a filtered light. Get ou of the box just catch the moment...
