Behind The Lens

Location

This is one of my favorite places in the world, it is Strandhill Beach in Sligo Ireland. I lived there for two years and roaming the dunes at Strandhill was a favorite pass time. During the spring months the these flowers all over the place unfortunately I don't recall the name but they decorate the dunes with a magnificent display of spring. It is by far one of the most beautiful places on earth!

Time

This was late afternoon the tide was in and the haze of mid day still hung around.

Lighting

The light in Ireland shines different than anywhere I've ever been; the mid day haze of the overcast gave a dream like feel to the photo, although it is edited the hazy sunlight of late afternoon definitely plays into the dream like appearance.

Equipment

I used an iPhone 5s.

Inspiration

What inspired me to take this photo was to remember the moment and mood and delight of that day. To always remember how beautiful Strandhill is in the spring.

Editing

Snap-seed

In my camera bag

This was my phone so I always have it, in my camera bag a couple good lenses.

Feedback

Composition! Pay attention to lines and where the lead too. Framing and how to make a photo more interesting by giving a sense of perspective. Always look for a different view of a place maybe someone wouldn't have experienced with your own unique point of view.
