The photo was taken in South Africa, at the Danielle Cheetah Project. These are Chuck & Norris, lion ambassadors against canned hunting. I'm a self-taught photograper, learning a little more every day.Time
It was morning time, around 11am I guess. Weather was terrible, very cold and windy, being outside was painful, but at the same time these factors played a perfect scenario for the picture, creating movement on the lion's hair and a beautiful softer light.Lighting
The light used was natural, no other equipment was necessary. The dramatical light from the storm was perfect for shooting the lions.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon 7D, with an 18-55mm f3.5 lens. No other equipment was involved.Inspiration
These lions represent hope, that the canned hunting business can be stopped. The amount of lions being breed for that cause is saddening, these beautiful creatures need to be in the wild free, powerful, proud. Chuck & Norris were rescue from a facilitie that had them with the purpose of entretainment, first as cubs to be pass hand to hand, and later on as domesticated lions to be easily hunt and taken as souvenirs. That day they were playing, smelling the air, enjoying the weather just being loving with each other. That tender side was fantastic to capture.Editing
