This photo was taken on my trip to Sächsische Schweiz. We have visited Bastei and there is this little nice bridge which we really enjoyed. There are only several angles from which you can take photo because there are rocky mountains everywhere.Time
It was taken early afternoon after we walked our way up to the bridge from the river. When we have arrived it looked like perfect moment for the shot. And later when pp-ing images i found out that it really was perfect moment.Lighting
The sun rays were crossing their way through clouds which resulted in these epic looking clouds. It was pretty hard to capture with this light because i was loosing a lot of details which were in the shadows (thats why i have chosen to go HDR).Equipment
This was shot with my little OLYMPUS OM-D E-M10 and PANASONIC 14mm 2.5. It was handheld.Inspiration
I was really surprised by this lovely place. The first thing i thoght when i saw it was Lord of the Rings and these clouds where looking exactly like these in Mordor. It is this contrast of something beautiful and in the background these post-apocalyptic looking clouds.Editing
I used photomatix to merge these 3 raw photos to HDR and played with sliders a bit and then imported to lightroom and adjusted it just a little bit.In my camera bag
My bag with equipment is not even bag. It is just my OLYMPUS OM-D E-M10 and PANASONIC 14mm 2.5 and OLYMPUS zuiko 45mm 1.8. When it comes to tripod i have velbon ex macro which is small but handy.Feedback
When you have beautiful subject like i had it is not that hard. Just wait for the right moment when you feel that the lighting is perfect and then take the shot. There are some tips i find useful every day: take as many shots as your card and battery can handle, try different angles and always check your camera settings before taking pictures.
