On the plains outside of Bagan, Myanmar, there is an unusual peak (Mt. Popa), made all the more extraordinary by the presence of a temple on top. The only way to reach this temple is by climbing 770 stairs--barefoot--while trying to avoid the aggressive monkeys that inhabit the mountain and mark the path with their droppings.
