Location
I was out and about one evening during a heat lightning storm and stopped by a lake near my home in Spring Hill, Fl. I got more than one shot but, the way this one kind of illuminated the back ground just enough to shadow the tree line and show the violets and orange in the sky. I was in love with this one, even if it is grainy.Time
The picture was taken during an evening adventure of mine, I think it was about 6 or 7 pm.Lighting
Well, considering I was using an older LG smart phone, the fact i was able to catch any light was a miracle.Equipment
As I mentioned before, for this photo was captured with an LG34c smart phone and a lot of patience.Inspiration
Of all the forces of nature, none commands respect like lightning. The raw power, yet the undeniable beauty as it dances through the clouds of the evening skies. Lightning, is one thing that it's almost calming if you can get past the roaring booms of thunder. It's beautiful, powerful, and in certain circumstances genuinely "Shocking"!Editing
Nope, I have a thing about not processing my photos. I feel like sometimes it takes more away from the picture. In my camera bag
Normally, I carry my phone with me, but i also have my Nikon cool pix L840. Some spare batteries I keep in my truck and a adjustable tripod for when i'm out on the sand bars.Feedback
When going for lightning, BE PATIENT, more so than you usually are, take multiple shots consecutively. Or heck, use your video! No shame in that. Just be sure you have time, an umbrella, and a comfy seat. You're gonna be there a while!
