This photo was taken in Kazbegi, small town in the north-eastern part of Georgia. This magical view unfolds from the terrace of Rooms Hotel Kazbegi, a design hotel, in the midst of the mountains. Having been lucky to work there for few years, I had a chance to wake up to this amazing view time and again and experiment with my camera.Time
This probably is one of my most favorite photos from the countless photos I have taken of Mout Kazbeg (5047 m) and this scenic view. This was taken around 8 pm, before sunset when the light is just perfect and mild. Year - 2014.Lighting
To me this image looks so mysterious and dramatic. What really strikes me as a viewer is the way light illuminates and interacts with the landscape, outlining amazing forms, colors and textures.Equipment

I love being in the mountains, observing nature, and this view particularly is ever changing and inspiring. You will never get bored from it, as it never really looks the same.Editing
I did do some post-processing of the raw file; mainly color corrections and sharpness.In my camera bag
i favor prime lenses, and have with me my 50mm, 24mm, and 85mm lenses.Feedback
One advise would be to be out there and shoot a lot! Forget that you need to sleep 8 hours a day, wake up early, observe the light, try many different things, break the rules, feel the scene, pay attention to everything around you and enjoy the process.
