This image was taken in a small almond orchard in Modesto California. I chose this location because it was isolated and has a certain charm.Time
This photo was taken at 5:00 pm. I recall the temperature was in the mid 70's, the sun was at mid level and it gave such a beautiful cool back light.Lighting
The lighting set up was simple. I used a large wescott umbrella, a alien bee 800 studio flash, a portable battery pack.Equipment

Don't force the image. allow it to be as unique as you are. Give direction as needed to your team, so that they are all on the same age as you creatively, but keep in mind the best photos are ones that are unique, and portray a mood or expression. Not those images that are exact copies of others work.
