This photo was taken In my studio in Modesto California.Time
The photo was taken mid day.Lighting
This was actually a test shoot for a commercial client, I was fairly new I. Photography and commercial work. I contacted one of my regular models and asked if they would like to test shoot with the product and she said yes. This is one of several shots we got featuring the model wearing the time place in less than conventisl way.Equipment
Nikon, nikon lens, a set of flashes ones with a grid, the other with a soft box modifier.Inspiration
I've always been a fan of Pam Grier. After being turned down by her management company for a shoot, I decided I would create a Pam Grier inspired shoot instead.Editing
I did a bit of skin and hair retouching.In my camera bag
Four lenses (don't want to miss any shot) 85mm, 35, 50-200 and my faithful kit lens, a variety of cords ( most I dog know what they belong to) my camera body, my light meter, four pocket wizard triggers and my X-rite passport.Feedback
Mistakes can be beautiful. I can't say I knew enough about lighting at the time, where I purposely positioned my lights to capture this image. I was playing around with light and lighting from different angles. Don't try to capture other photographers work, focus on developing your own style. Beauty comes fro. Unique photos people like to be wowed with things they haven't seen.
