Location
This shot was taken in the Water Suite at the Sofitel in the Sathon area of Bangkok Thailand.Time
This shot was taken during the afternoon as the sun was casting good light through the large west window.Lighting
The lighting was just natural light with no reflectors used during the shoot. We used the west window area as the light was good for the position of this shot and helped create the right mood.Equipment
During this shoot i used a combination of a Canon 1DX / 5Dsr and 6D with Canon 24-70mm / Canon 70-200mmInspiration
The model is Anastasia Maslova who had a great look of innocence. This lead to us using the blindfold to capture a shot that both had innocence and a feeling of helplessness. I guess some of the idea was taken from 50 shades of Grey as this was a talking point at the time of the shoot.Editing
Anastasia has great skin so there was very little work done on those areas and more time spent on light and shade for the B&W shot. I used a the PS filter during the post process along with some luminosity to highlight some of the skin areas. In my camera bag
Normally i will carry 2 x cameras:Canon 1DX / 5Dsr or 6D depending on what other shots i will be taking that day. Lenses are normally 24-70mm / 70-200mm / 100mm macro / 10-24mm for landscape.Feedback
I think you have to have an idea in your head as to how you want the model to look, have the appropriate attire / lingerie depending on theme of the particular shoot. Knowing the model is always a good thing as you know what she can add to the overall shot in regards to look and pose. Getting the scene in perspective is also vital to the overall creation and final look of the shot. My personal advice is to think it through and talk it through with your model, by doing this you are both working on the same level. Take your time and try different heights and angels until you have what you are looking for, the shot will make it's self.
