When I first began to flirt with the idea of possibly becoming a still photojournalist or a documentary filmmaker I decided to take my Leica R3 to the WTO-IMF massive protest in Washington DC in hopes of a "true" photographic experience. I received the experience all right in the form of heaping clouds of pepper spray to my face but as I was running away in terrified agony I noticed this "Anarchist" and "Preacher" in the midst of a pretty intense discourse. I snapped 3 shots and for the last 15 years this image has never ceased to haunt me!

MY FAVORITE AND MOST PROFOUND PHOTO I"VE EVER TAKEN DURING THE WTO/IMF PROTESTS IN WASHINGTON DC.....IT WAS ALSO ONE OF THE MOST INTENSE PHOTOJOURNALISTIC EXPERIENCES I'VE EVER HAD UNTIL MY CURRENT DTLA SKID ROW SERIES AS OF RECENT!!!
