Location
This photo was taken at The Red Fort, on my first trip to Delhi, India in 2013. I was still a novice in my trasition to digital photography, and was not using a full frame camera. There was no processing or editing for me at that point.Time
I believe this was shot in the morning as much of our touring was done before the extreme heat of midday.Lighting
While the morning light was slightly hazy, it did still form a nice shadow beneath the monkey. I was able to get close to him because the monkeys at the fort are very used to tourists.Equipment
This was most likely shot on a Nikon 5300 with the standard packaged lens.Inspiration
I was looking for a way to incorporate the beautiful architecture of the Red Fort, with the entertaining and ever present monkey guards.Editing
Since this was before I had any knowledge of Lightroom or Photoshop, and it was not shot in raw, there was nothing done to edit or process this photoIn my camera bag
These days I travel with two camera bodies and a few lenses. My go to at the moment is the Nikon D810s with either the 70-20mm lens with an 2x extender on hand, and a 24-70mm. I also have several extra batteries, chargers, cleaning tools, dry bags, a 14mm wide angle lens, monopod or tripod, etc.Feedback
In situations like this, I try to shoot many frames to catch the exact moment and feeling that I want to remember about the place I visited. That is one of the obvious advantages of digital photography over film.
