Behind The Lens
Location
I took this Photo while having a day off in Nice, France. At the time I was on tour as a musician, I always bring my camera on tours, as I find a lot of my inspiration while traveling to new places I've never been.Time
This was late afternoon before heading on further adventures down small streets looking for some dinner. I remember feeling so exited about having a free day in such a beautiful city by a beach. I've always enjoyed getting right up close to water, and looking for the most interesting sea shells or shiny rocks - I'm still a kid at heart.Lighting
The lighting was all mother nature. No extra lighting needed.Equipment
For equipment, I must travel light (there is already a a van full of music equipment haha)..even bringing my slr on tour is more than I should bring - however..that is always my one treat for myself that I won't leave behind. So I just have my camera, with my one 18-55mm lens, and that is all.Inspiration
This was most definitely one of the most beautiful beaches I've seen. Very clean, and it was very peaceful looking out into the water. I just wanted to capture that moment. When away from home, there isn't a lot of personal space or quiet time.Editing
Not a lot, just a little with the highlights and shadows. In my camera bag
Like I mentioned earlier, I travel light...it's even a habit when I am at home, going out to take pictures. It's always just me, my one camera, and my one lens.Feedback
As far as advice, I would say, for myself, simplicity always works, so that could be something to try. And just look around you, at what inspires you...then point, and click !
