This photo was taken in San Sebastián, Spain. I am a musician, and was on tour with a band. We were very lucky to arrive in the city early enough to do some exploring. Usually for the most part we arrive in the cities only with time to maybe walk around whichever neighborhood block the music venue might be located.Time
I remember driving into the city being very excited that it was early enough to do some walking around, I think it was around 2pm or so. Also the beach was right there as well (although, you can't notice from this picture, but the water and waves were just a few feet away). It wasn't quite warm enough to swim though, as it was February, and a bit too breezy.Lighting
The lighting here is all natural, and I was just taking in the scenery, which happened to be naturally vivid.Equipment
I do photography as a hobby mostly (although it is something that does excite me, which I can get quite passionate about). Therefor it was just me and my camera (cannon T2i). Not to mention, you must travel very lightly when on tour as a musician.Inspiration
I have always loved carousels, and the esthetic of how a circus looks. This however, reminded me of how maybe a more old fashioned circus would look, and I just found it extra interesting with the unusual trees. I was just capturing an imaginary moment.Editing
For post-processing, I only increased the contrasts, and saturation a bit more, to make it a little bit more vivid, and bring it to life a bit more.In my camera bag
Just me and my camera around my neck. I keep it simple.Feedback
Sometimes it is well worth it to wait for the majority of other tourists to pass by, if you want to get your shot with a small sense of abandonment. Also, just take photos of things that really capture your eye, and get your imagination excited..it's sure to turn out pretty good if you do that !
