Taking pictures during a tropical torential downpour is not such a good idea you might think. It can be hell for your expensive gear, a camera lens can be seriously damaged. But there are plenty of possibilities for protection. More important is that animals and certainly waterbirds are showing special behaviour during or after a nice sparkling shower. Just try it out.... getting wet gives plenty of opportunities for nice pictures if you are willing to anticipate the rainy moment :-)
