Researchers revealed surprising, off-road behavior of Barbary macaque males co rearing all infants . They use babies to bond with other males and to strengthen their clout. Need to reinforce an existing male-male alliance, or repair a frayed one? Don’t forget to bring the baby. The infants dont mind - they grow up in a well bonded social group where male adults care for the young irrespectively whether its their own.
