Behind The Lens
Location
The image was taken at the Paris natural history museum.Time
I can't remember when I took it - Without looking at the image properties! It was a very hot day in Paris, and we had walked a long way, so I was tired and hot and needing a beer and a sit down. The collection of animal bones is amazing and well worth seeing.Lighting
This was shot in normal daylight.Equipment
Just a Nikon D3100 with stock 18-55mm lens.Inspiration
I love detail and shade - The inside of the whale was amazing, I loved the texture and patterns it made.Editing
A few level tweaks, nothing more.In my camera bag
I travel light and I'm not bothered about high end equipment, the camera is typically wrapped in a t-shirt and flung in with the days provisions, so just a Nikon D3100 with stock 18-55mm lens or more recently a fixed AF-S DX 35mm f/1.8G prime. I like walking up to things, so a fixed lens is great.Feedback
Look closer at the details around you, the smaller pictures in pictures. Instead of going for the obvious shot, look at the scene and see if there is anything occupying it that is potentially more interesting, especially if taken out of context and framed in its own self.
