Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at the Royal Naval College in Greenwich London UK. I'm a self taught photographer and I met the model for a test shoot and I just so happen to live in the area so it was more of a last min lets pop outside to take som photo's

Time

I'm so not a day person so this was around mid afternoon on a Sunday, its was over cast and cloudy and looks like it was going to rain all afternoon.

Lighting

The beautiful clouds covered the day but not just any clouds we are talking rain clouds but one step better, it looks like it will rain but it doesn't just to drive you mad. Basically typical English weather.

Equipment

If I recall correctly I just had my Canon 5D MK3, Canon 35mm f/1.4 a big ass reflector and a minion to hold it.

Inspiration

You be sorry to hear I was just running around taking random pics with friends no inspiration what so ever, just thought it would be nice to take a pic here.

Editing

Yes I did, basic white balance and then ran thought some of my presets that I had saved and tweaked it a little bit more in Lightroom

Feedback

Location and model is key but aside from that it's pretty simply to take a photo like this, Please stop using Auto on your digital SLR You can probably take the same photo with an iphone these days too.
