I took this photo in Costa Rica. I had been looking to get a shot of this tree frog my whole week in Costa Rica. It wasn't till the last day of the trip I had the opportunity.Time
The day was getting late. The sun was beginning to set. Our guide said he had a great place. There was a resort that was not open yet this season. He landed at their dock and we walked to this little nature site. There he was just staring back at me. I started taking pictures and the lighting was horrid. There was a sign that said no flash photography. Finally I turned on the flash and bam the shot happened.Lighting
The lighting was really poor. It was late in the day and the sun was setting. The trees were tall with big leaves and kept out even more of the light.Equipment
I used a Nikon D750 with an old Nikon mini flash attachment.Inspiration
I just think that the frogs are amazing. I had seen many pictures of this frog and wanted my own.Editing
I twerked out a little noise and tightened up the color just a tad.In my camera bag
camera, Lenses, Lens cleaning kit, extra batteries, Polarizing filter, flash attachment, 2TB HD, Memory cards etcFeedback
You have to find one that you can get really close to.
