Location
This image was made on my front deck. The hyacinths was in full bloom and was calling me to take it's picture.Time
This was made in the early morning hours when the light is soft and diffused.Lighting
This image was made in the fall with overcast skies in the early morning hours of golden light making the light soft, diffused allowing for slower shutter speed to gather the colors into the image.Equipment
I used my Pentax k5II with a lens baby macro lens. The camera was on a tripod so I could use a slower shutter speed.Inspiration
These flowers smell heavenly first thing in the morning and the way they catch the light is just beautiful. They drew me into them to make their image. I love working with the lens baby len's making macro images of flowers.Editing
I use as little post processing as possible. I put my images through Lightroom and usually that is enough. In my camera bag
I had a wonderful grab bag of equipment, but it was all pentax gear and with my schooling becoming more advanced I needed to take my gear to the next level. I traded all my gear in for a Canon 7D Mark II and a Canon 24-70 2.8 II lens. I am starting my collection from the ground up.Feedback
Keep your eyes open for the common place subject that will make the most special image. Sometimes you just need to walk out your front door to find something worth shooting.
