Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at the top of Matterhorn peak outside of Bridgeport, CA. It was the same peak that jack Kerouac wrote about in is book dharma bums. The peak sits at 12280 ft in the eastern Sierras. Yosemite national park is off in the distance if you look real hard.

Time

Surprisingly I took it around noon, but had great cloud cover

Lighting

It would of been to bright if a storm wasn't rolling in. The cloud cover allowed me enough contrast get beautiful pictures Also everything always looks classer in black and white

Equipment

I know it's simple, but I used the Sony alpha 5000 with the standard lens the camera came with

Inspiration

After taking two days to get to the top of this 12000 ft peak, I felt very inspired to take as many photos as i could. The views from there were breath taking...

Editing

I actually did no postprocessing. I tend to leave my photos only. What I see is what i get.

In my camera bag

My camera and an extra memory card if I remember

Feedback

I find if I can get to a unique spot and find the right framing, the landscape usually does the rest.
