Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on my way to Ooty, a hill station in Tamilnadu (India) during one of my pleasure trip with friends. Exact location is 7th mile, few kilometers away from Ooty.

Time

It was a beautiful September morning, this was taken around 11:40 AM on 1st September 2015, I had to zoom it to full (200mm on my lens) as I didn't want to disturb the comfort of this cute baby monkey.

Lighting

As it was around 11:40 AM, I got enough natural light to capture this with no flash.

Equipment

Camera : Nikon D7000, lens : Nikon 55-200mm, Hand held with no flash, at full zoom at 200mm.

Inspiration

I was roaming around with my camera and it was interesting to watch these baby monkeys, but I noticed this cutey was taking some rest and I felt like it was posing to my camera, i didn't miss my chance :)

Editing

Not much of post processing other than auto brightness using Microsoft picture manager and a little bit of cropping.

In my camera bag

I don't have a full frame to carry with me, all I have is my Nikon D7000 along with Kit lens 18-105mm and one additional zoom with Nikon 55-200mm, I will have this always with me.

Feedback

I am not at all an expert to give advice but one thing to remind is, wait for a right moment , do not disturb them and the moment should be natural.
