One fine sunset in singing sand dunes where you can hear the echos of a blowing wind. A nice contrast between the sand and color of the sunset and sky. Area is vastly surrounded by sands but amazingly life still present in this dull area.

Behind The Lens

Location

one of the dessert area of qatar

Time

it was taken on winter time in qatar and shots around 5-6PM

Lighting

i wanted a bit drama and effect of the lights and shades, so when i saw that the sun is setting down and the light almost fading, decided to setup my tripod right away and hit for a long shutter count to be able to catch the drama and the lights that is covered by the thin clouds.

Equipment

this was shots using nikon d610, 16-35mm f/4, benro tripod and lee filters

Inspiration

to show the beautiful and captivating areas of the middle east that even it is a deserted areas there is always a good photos and areas where we can showcase the beautiful scenery of the locations, as the middle east know for their sand dunes

Editing

yes, to enrich the color of the photos and pop out, but the post processing that i usually do on my photos is minimal. just a bit of adjusting the contrast, saturation, brightness and sharpening the photos

In my camera bag

i usually carry my nikon d610 cam body, 24-70mm f2.8, 16-35mm f/4 and my 70-200mm f2.8 and with my lee filters and my benro tripod.

Feedback

one of the best landscape photos and capturing the beautiful landscape is either by sunrise or sunset of they called it golden lights, as it shows more dramatic photos and the lights that show on these time gives you the nice lighting which combines the light and the shadows of the landscape photos.
