I remember vividly the first time I set eyes on a Mountain Gorilla when we were trekking to see them in Virunga National Park, Rwanda. The first one I saw just happened to be a huge Silverback......I was stunned at their size and wary at the fact that obviously there was nothing between him and us! But they are actually gentle giants.
