This is great. Been looking for a shot like this. Reminds me of my days in the military, being in the mountains.
Thanks for the memories. Great all around. I can feel this one. Thanks for sharing. Have a safe and happy New Year. :-)

Behind The Lens

Location

I did take this photo in Einsiedeln/Switzerland

Time

It was during a walk in the forest on afternoon.

Lighting

I saw the deep sun between the trees. To get the rays, I closed the aperture to f/18.

Equipment

I used a Sony Alpha 65 DSLR with a wideangle opjective 10-20 Tamron. (Whithout tripod, but I hold on my breath to take the picture :-) )

Inspiration

I like the beautiful silent atmosphere of a snowy forest. But inspired was I through the deep sun.

Editing

maybe a little sharpening.

In my camera bag

My Sony, mostly with a 18-200mm Tamron, which gave me a wide range of options. In this case I used the wideangle edgewise

Feedback

Move your feet and go out. :-) The specific advice would be: Use a wideangle objective edgewise, close aperture to a high value (that would give you the rays). And better use a tripod, if you have it with you! wear gloves and hood! :-) it might be cold! :-)
