I attempted to take this shot on a few occasions. Waiting for the right tide, right conditions, and after a few attempts I realized the first time I went was actually the shot that I wanted. This shot was taken with a Canon 5D III and a Zeiss 21mm lens. It was right as the sun was coming up. All the colors are so amazing and the wood pier really comes alive with the sweet light.
