Summers aren't necessarily sunny.

A small boat lays in the shallow waters of wetlands in the Wadden Sea on the shore of Vlieland, an island in the province of Friesland, set in the north of the Netherlands. On the top left side in this shot, you can see people walking on the Wadden Sea's soil. This is called 'wadlopen' (mudflat hiking). Something that can obviously only be done during ebb-tide, so be aware of the tide if you plan on doing this without a guide.

The Wadden Sea is an intertidal area in the southeastern part of the North Sea. It's situated between the coast of northwestern continental Europe and the Frisian Wadden Islands. They form a shallow body of water of wetlands and tidal flats and it is uniquely rich in biological diversity. For this reason, in June 2009, the Dutch and German parts of the Wadden Sea were inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List and the Danish part was added exactly five years later, in June 2014.
