I love doing self portrait photo shoots, and this image is the product of one such shoot. I hung a sheet over my basement bedroom window at night, and shined a light from above my window. The "ethereal" effect is caused by a longer exposure. This image is proof that you don't need a studio to get cool effects and lighting! Taken with a Nikon D40.
