Awesome shot 👌 particularly love the way the light graduates from dark top to bright bottom

Location
This was taken at my home studio in North Port Florida.Time
We started the shoot indoor late in the afternoon, so I used a strobe with an umbrella for light, as my studio has no light coming in at that time of day.Lighting
I wanted the light to be just enough to illuminate the model and then fall off the further it got away from her. I was pleased with the skintone against the grain of the wood flooring.Equipment
I used a Canon 5D with a 24-70 Canon Lens. Lighting was an Alien Bees strobe and Wescott Parabolic Silver umbrella.Inspiration
I would say that it was a preplanned shot, but I had just had the wood floor installed and it was a spur of the moment idea I had after we tried a few with a white backdrop that did not give enough contrast. It worked out well!Editing
I did a little softening and color correction to my likes. I did not have mush to do as my model (Ivy Lee) was holding a perfect pose.In my camera bag
A Canon 5D along with a 24-70 Canon Lens, a 70-300 Canon and a 50mm Canon.Feedback
Keep your original plan of which shots you have planned to shoot but don't be afraid to try a spur of the moment idea.
