Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Bridal Veil Falls in B.C.

Time

It was a cloudy cool day in July and this photo was taken mid afternoon.

Lighting

we were standing back from the falls and the area was quite dark. I zoomed in on the falls leaving a bit of the foreground in the photo to frame the picture and make the falls stand out more.

Equipment

I used a Nikon Coolpix P90 and a small tripod which i set on a post on the viewing platform for height.

Inspiration

I was there on a family vacation and it was my first time visiting the falls even though I live quite close to the park. I took some family photos there and wanted one of the falls without anyone in it.

Editing

No

In my camera bag

extra batteries, a small 6" tripod, and the connection cable.

Feedback

Get out there with your camera and use your creativity and imagination. try different settings and exposures until you are satisfied with the results. Sometimes small day trips away from home can produce beautiful results.
