Behind The Lens

Location

My husband and Daughter were visiting my parents in my home town of Bryan OH. We decided to go to the parks in town and I luckily took my camera to take this wonderful display of nature!

Time

This photo was taken in the early afternoon on our walk.

Lighting

I took this photo with natural light, no flash or special lighting was used.

Equipment

This shot was taken with a Canon EOS Rebel T3 with a 18-55mm f/8 lens, ISO of 640 and Exposure of 1/640

Inspiration

I love taking photos of nature so, I was looking for a shot of a bee and when I saw this bee on a perfect flower like this I couldn't help but to get as close to it as I could!

Editing

The only editing that I did was adjust the color to make the background look darker to make the bee and flower pop.

In my camera bag

The first thing I always do is make sure my Canon EOS Rebel T3 along with my 18-55 mm lens, 28-90 mm lens, and my 75-300 mm lens because you never know what situation might come up that you can capture that perfect shot!

Feedback

When I'm looking for that perfect close up of any insect I try to be as quiet as I possibly can so I don't disturb the insect and get that perfect shot! Another thing I try to do is walk slowly towards the insect because I have made the mistake of walking up to the insect to quickly and then it moves.
