San Joaquin valley foothills are a glow in the spring, with the foothills painted with California poppies and lupine. Early morning drives when the sun is rising has a beautiful glow. Capturing the shadows on the poppies right before they fully bloom has a different look than the full bloomed poppies once the sun has risen enough.
