Location
I took this photo in my own backyard, against a wood fence. I love nature and we have a flowering bush that attracts honeybees. I took several photos of the bees, and loved this one with the bee curving around the flower.Time
It was in the early evening, with the sun beginning to set.Lighting
It was in the early evening, with nice, golden light. I used an ISO of 250.Equipment
I used a Canon EOS Rebel T4i with a Tamron 16-300 mm F/3.5-6.3 lens. This shot was taken at 300 mm, f/6.3, 1/500 and IS0 250.Inspiration
My love for nature inspired me to take this photo. I have taken other beautiful nature photos in my own backyard, as well.Editing
I did some editing of the photo on my Mac iPhoto software using sharpening and brightening tools and just a slight bit of color enhancement. In my camera bag
My go-to camera is my Canon 70D and 24-70mm / F2.8 lens - especially for portrait photography. I love the flexibility of the Camron 16-300 mm, of being able to shoot from Macro to zoom.Feedback
Be patient, practice a lot, use manual settings for more control and be sure to focus on the bee to get that nice depth of field. Most of all, have fun!
