Location
This photo was taken in my local area, not far from my home in Nova Scotia, Canada.Time
I was driving home after lunch, and the fog was setting in over the trees along the River.Lighting
I loved how the trees appeared ghostly in the fog, so I stopped the car, grabbed my point and shoot camera out of my purse, and took a couple of quick shots. Just after I took this the fog became so thick that you couldn't even see the trees.Equipment
This was taken with a Canon SX160is. I always carry it with me for those times when I am out and about and spot something I want to photograph.Inspiration
I loved how the fog silhoutted the trees along the River, and how their Reflections appeared so ephemeral.Editing
I did just a quick tweak of this photo using onOne Perfect Effects, merely to bring out a bit of contrast. In my camera bag
I have several DSLR cameras, which I love (particular my Nikons) but for this particular photo, it was just a Canon point and shoot - no extra equipment or lighting.Feedback
I live in such a diverse area, with winding hills, forests, beautiful sand beaches, and a lot of wildlife and gorgeous flowers. There is beauty and uniqueness in almost everything around you. Always be prepared to capture a photo at any moment - the changing of the light, the changing of the seasons, and the weather on any given day can change something ordinary looking into something truly beautiful.
