I am guessing that this was captured at sunset after a storm. What an amazing capture, beautiful rainbow did you find the pot of gold? I would say the image is rich.

Location
I took this from my apartment window on a pretty grim day up here in the north of England. I'm a sucker for photographing sunsets but this was the first decent rainbow I managed to capture. I found it somewhat ironic given that the area of my city at the bottom of the rainbow is certainly no pot of gold!Time
I took this in the afternoon after a heavy rain shower. I felt like shooting but didn't want to go outside in the bad weather. I ended up with quite a few interesting shots - it was a good exercise in seeing the interesting things that are around me every day because I'm constantly using my camera while I'm travelling but it gets a little neglected at home.Lighting
There was actually a double rainbow but I couldn't for the life of me get both to show up in the final photo. I'm certainly no expert and have only had one photography lesson in my life (albeit with Warren Richardson, the fabulous winner of the World Press Photo this year) so I am still working with a lot of trial and error!Equipment
Canon 7D Mk II and 55-250 EF-S lens. I used my balcony railings as a tripod.Inspiration
I looked out of the window to spot a double rainbow. I immediately grabbed my camera and ended up spending a while collecting everything interesting I could see from my apartment.Editing
I am beyond lazy when it comes to editing. I don't really have any skills, and I'm very lucky I shoot to the crop almost all of the time so it cuts down the work I had to do. I did play around with this quite a lot to try and get both rainbows to show up, before getting grumpy and giving up!In my camera bag
My Canon 7D Mark II is my absolute baby. I got it last year before my trip to China and dropped it a week later in Tiananmen Square, breaking the lens I had on at the time. I am now a lot more careful with it! I tend to just bring maybe one spare lens depending what I'm going to be shooting, or just use my 50mm prime if I am just throwing my camera in my bag just in case.Feedback
I don't think I know enough to be able to advise anyone! I just shoot whatever makes me smile and got lucky on this occasion.
