Location
The photo was taken at Schliersee, a small town at the lake with the same name in Bavaria, Germany.Time
It was in the evening at about 8 pm, when we arrived at the lake with our bicycles. Most of the people had left the lakeshore and we enjoyed this view shortly before sunset.Lighting
The warm light of the deep sun colored the mountains and the water of the lake, which already lay in the shadow, contrasted nicely. The position of the sun on the right side gave me the perfect lighting.Equipment
As we were on bicycle-tour in the south of Bavaria (Bodensee - Königssee bicycle route) i carried only small equipment wth me. This shot was taken with a digital point and shoot camera, the FujiFinepix F200EXR - no more eqipment, no flash was used.Inspiration
It was a chance discovery that we came along this beautiful place, this evening we did not expect such a view over the lake with the mountains so close and such lovely lighting. On the final distance to Schliersee we saw the sinking sun and I was afraid of no sunlight and low light in general at our destination. But when we arrived in Schliersee this stunning panorama view was offered to us and it was a must to stop and take some photos.Editing

I use Nikon FX and DX DSLR with several lenses like among others the 17-35mm f/2.8, the 24-70mm f/2.8, the 80-200 f/2.8 and the 85mm f/1.8 a Sirui tripod and a SB900 flash; since about 2 years I also use a mirrorless Fujifilm X-T1 with the Fujinon lenses 23mm f/1.4, the 35mm f/1.4 and the 50-140mm f/2.8.Feedback
Always be aware of unusual lighting situations and always carry a camera with you, whatever this might be. Great lighting can be expected in the early morning time and late in the evening, when the sun comes down and we expect soft light with warm colour tones and long shadows.
