Location
The photo was taken in Moscow in the middle of Red Square, between Kremlin walls and Saint Basil Cathedral. It is, probably the most popular place to take picture at on Red Square.Time
It was late after midday (you may actually spot the time on the tower clock). My daughter and I were just finishing our walkaround the Red Square and were about to go homeLighting
It was lovely sunny day with a few clouds, the sun was still quite high and lighting was generally harshEquipment
My Canon 6D camera and Canon EF24-105mm f/4L lensInspiration
Actually, my little model -my daughter Alisa! She was standing there eating ice cream, such a little girl surrounded by these architectual monuments that witnessed many epochs and historical events. I thought for a moment that she had a whole life ahead of her and so many dreams to come true and I just said "Jump!" ( I don't have to ask her twice for that, lol). I wanted to capture her flying over this heart of her birth city!Editing
I did some editing in Photoshop with the help of actions. Honestly, I am not very good in post-processing, for these picture I wanted to give some more sun-filled atmosphere, because that's how it felt that day!In my camera bag
Canon 6D Camera and Canon EF24-105mm f/4L lens - my favourite combo! Suites for almost every situation. Though, it is quite heavy. lolFeedback
Taking pictures with kids can be tuff when you try to pose them on purpose, so just be playful, ask them to jump, do some funny dancing with them or bribe them with ice cream like I do (lol). Regarding the technical part I must confess: I was shooting on auto (and that was before I went to take photography classes).
