this was taken in mid-morning on a cloudy August dayLighting
all natural lightingEquipment
Canon 5D Mark 3 with Canon 24-105 EF lens (kit), taken on a tripod - 3 shot HDR and a composite of two setsInspiration
i was visiting the north of Scotland with a fellow member of our local camera club, and we went to get some shots of the iconic Bow Fiddle rock, while we were there, we were lucky enough to witness multiple vessels, the canoe, a few ships and even a helicopterEditing
two sets of 3-shot HDR combined to show the canoeist and the fishing boat in the same shotIn my camera bag
Canon 5D, canon 24-105 lens, Tamron 70-300 lens, various memory cards and batteries, random odds and ends, flash, etc...Feedback
keep an eye open for opportunities, and don't be afraid to wait for the right shot - or take multiple and try and make the shot you want. it never hurts to be a bit creative with Photoshop.
