Perseid Meteor Over Southern Indiana, Approaching Louisville - This is the longest meteor streak I captured during the 23015 meteor shower. I witnessed this one and all I can say is "Wow, it looked like a fireball in the sky." It was so bright that I caught a lens flare in the center of the image. I shot the image in Southern Indiana. To give you some perspective, you are looking south to Louisville, Kentucky. You can see the glow of the city (light pollution). Near the horizon on the right, the streaks of white light are UPS planes approaching the airport for the night's inbound. What a glorious show in the sky!
