Behind The Lens

Location

White Oak Canyon Shenandoah (VA)

Time

Middle of the day

Lighting

All ambient light. The trees provided a well enough filter.

Equipment

Canon EOS 5D

Inspiration

I went on a hike, search for light and color in nature.

Editing

Pushed vibrance is all.

In my camera bag

DSLR, 2.8 lenses or better. One wide (20mm on FF), one with reach (70-200mm) and one in between 40-50mm).

Feedback

There is no subject you will ever shoot that hasn't ever been shot, except people. So when it comes to landscapes, look for different angles, go where no one else is going. If on a trail, get off of it, so long as it is safe. Also, look at a lot of pictures, and try to emulate as much as you can. Learn and grow... Once you have the exposure, tweak your POV. Lastly, don't get upset with your results, keep exploring the land, your camera and people and things around you. The opportunities are endless.
