I took this image at one of my most favorite locations,on my mom's boyfriends land at his abandoned hunting shack.Time
The time of day was perfect.. it was mid to late afternoon and the clouds rolling in was absolutely beautiful!Lighting
The lighting of the day was so dramatic and it was all natural!Equipment
For equipment I used my Nikon D3100 and a Nikon 55-200mm lens. Free hand and all natural lighting.Inspiration
What inspired this photo was the subject. She is the most caring woman I have met and wears her heart on her sleeve! She inspires me and many other giving us all hope!Editing
Post processing is generally a necessity. And in most cases just require small adjustments like this image converted into black and white, added contrast, and some minor highlight and shadow adjustments.In my camera bag
The equipment I carry with me is basic. Just my camera and a lens or two a fixed 50mm and a 55-200mm. Indin5 carry lots of equipment I like a good challenge and trusting my abilities as a photographer.Feedback
The advice I would give someone trying to capture something similar would be make sure your subject isn't facing the harsh sunlight. And don't forget your creative eye!
