I shot this image in what I call "slices" using a telephoto lens along the roadside on the way to Morro Bay. After shooting one "slice" at 7 different exposures, I rotated the camera slightly, and shot another "slice" at 7 different exposures, continuing this way until I had the whole scene. I then used Photomatix to combine the 7 exposures for each "slice," and then stitched the slices together in Photoshop. The resulting print is quite large: very high resolution at 5 feet wide. I also have a black and white version that is possibly even more interesting. (I may post it later.)
