Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture in Azerbaijan, in Ismailli region.

Time

It was the second half of the day, approximately at 16:00-17:00

Lighting

I remember, I laid down to capture the harmony of this beautiful butterfly and the space around it, but there was no such special lighting or equipment with me. The sun was doing that very lighting)

Equipment

It was my lovely Canon EOS 7D with 55-250 lens. No tripod and nothing about flash in this picture.

Inspiration

I was inspired by the richness of the colors of small flowers arond me, I laid down and began to change my position and I took some photos at that time. I knew that I'd be lucky to take some butterfly at that moment. And I did it. I couldn't even imagine that there was a snake behind me while taking the beauty of the small world around me))

Editing

Only contrasts and curves in Adobe Photoshop. That's all)

In my camera bag

Usually I take my Canon EOS 7D with 17-40 Canon or 17-35 Sigma lens, 55-250 mm lens, 15 mm fisheye lens, 50- 1,4 mm lens, and my Panasonic Lumix GM1 with EOS-m4/3 adapter, as I can use different lens on it. Additionally, I can take my Leica 15 - 1,7 mm lens)

Feedback

Enjoy the process of notice, experiment with your camera’s settings in combination with ability of thinking differently, always try manual focus, think faster to capture that very moment, never stop thinking. Good luck, my friend!
