This shot was taken around Sunset. I don't recall the exact moment but I actually didn't have my setting correct on my camera so you get the blown out light in back. It actually pretty well for the shot so I can saw I was pretty pleased!Lighting
Sometimes accidents can work out pretty well? I almost deleted the photo from my camera as at the time it wasn't what I wanted, and ended up getting photos that I actually liked at the time, but the more I looked at this photo the more the lighting actually grew on me. Sun is the best light!Equipment
I shot this with a Canon 70d and a Sigma 17-50mm lens. No flash, no tripod, and nothing else!Inspiration
I love to hammock with my girlfriend but we live a bit further from beautiful picturesque landscapes, so instead of going for that I decided to go for Symmetry and an under the dock kind of shot worked out great!Editing
I did! I went into Lightroom and brought down the shadows as they were a bit extreme and since I didn't want you to focus on the background at all, blew out the back even more.In my camera bag
I always have my Canon 70d body, a 14mm Rokinon Lens paired with my Sigma 17-50mm, a ton of batteries, tripod, and my drone.Feedback
I think it's a fairly simple photo to capture, but just be open to more than what you're comfortable with, and don't delete anything until you're looking at it on the computer. You never know what could turn out great!
