Behind The Lens

Location

Photo taken in Barry South Wales, made famous by the BBC show Gavin and Stacey

Time

Taken in afternoon, a post Christmas walk.

Lighting

Typical December day in South Wales, sunny spells interupted with some sharp showers

Equipment

Taken with a Nikon D3200 with kit lens. Chrismas present that year and first introduction to DSLR, after 25 years of film photgraphy

Inspiration

The impact of the sun and clouds screamed TAKE ME !!. The the dog walker is my wife, gave some people interest in the shot

Editing

Bit of post adjustment HDR experiment, still a novice at post production so a bit of trail, but hit thhe target for me

In my camera bag

Bit of a Nikon fan boy going ways back. Currently using a D2X and D3200., Love old glass, go to primes Asahi Takamar 55mm F2 and Tokina 28mm F2.8, amazing clarity, keeps me honest in manual mode. I also mix it up with a Tokina, 70-200mm Zoom, neat compact zoom .

Feedback

I always believe image capture is all about the moment, sometimes the light and clouds deliver something worth capturing always be prepared, I never go anywhere without at least one of my camara's
